  2. Sign In / Register and Placing an Order
    When you order products or services on Canada Online, we request information from our customers on our order form. Here, a customer must provide contact information (such as name, shipping address, phone number and email address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customers' orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the customer. Also, a customer is required to provide an email address, to keep customer records separate from each other, and may also be used for us to contact you with matters regarding Canada Online, such as your order confirmation, a newsletter, or an announcement about a new product or service.

    Information collected is not shared with anyone EXCEPT, from time to time; Canada Online may create statistics based on customers' buying habits, product history, for example to determine what product patterns have been emerging among our customers so to improve our product offering to you.     Canada Online’s many websites with links back to Canada Online are developed to educate and help our customers.
  7. Newsletter and other emails
    We may send a Newsletter and other emails to the email address you provide when you enroll in our newsletter. The email will always start the message with our logo on the top right hand corner. Your name, other information will never be in any of our emails. You have the opportunity to unsubscribe your external email address from the newsletter and other non-critical emails if desired.
  8. Tell A Friend
    If a customer selects to use our "tell a friend" referral service for informing a friend about our site, we ask them for the friend's email address. Canada Online will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the site. Canada Online stores your friend's email address information to be able to notify your friend of your suggested referral. The friend may contact Canada Online at to request the removal of this information from our database. Tell a friend gives your friend 10 percent discount on their purchase and also 5 percent credit on your next order.
  9. Security
    At Canada Online we take every precaution to protect our customers' information. When customers submit sensitive information via the web site, your information is protected both online and offline. When our order form asks customers to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and protected with superior best practices encryption software in the industry. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon that you see on the bottom of web browsers, such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer, becomes locked, as opposed to unlocked, or open, when you are just "surfing." While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect customer-information off-line. All of our customers' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information only and not sensitive or credit card information. Our employees must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desks. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up to date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customers' information is protected. Finally, the servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a completely secure environment.
  10. Correction/Updating Personal Information
    Any customer can simply Sign In to the site database and access their own personal data. We do not have authority to change your personal information. No employee has been granted access level to be able to make changes to your personal information. Please Sign In and make changes to your own data.
